Sharjah Media Council discusses strengthening partnerships with local and international institutions

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi said that Al Wusta channel, which specializes in transmitting the heritage and preserving the culture of that region, which is rich in its authentic values, comes within the directives of the Sharjah Media Council to protect the popular heritage from extinction and immunize generations from visual media invasion of social values.

The Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council praised the efforts of all the channel’s employees to translate the channel’s message and goals in accordance with the visions and directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, calling for the continuation of work in conveying the image and culture of the central region and its historical heritage and civilization full of achievement and giving, as well as its unique environmental and innate life. .

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi directed the members of the Council to consolidate the values of the Emirate and its original foundations within the plans and programs of the media institutions affiliated with the Council in accordance with the message of purposeful and constructive media.

The members of the council discussed the previous minutes and approved it. The proposals for the identity of the Sharjah Media Council were reviewed, and the most prominent projects of the current and upcoming year, initiatives, programs and future plans.

Council members discussed ways to strengthen partnerships with local and international institutions and mechanisms for developing the media sector in the Emirate of Sharjah and consolidating its presence on the global media map in line with its qualitative leaps and continuous growth.

His Excellency Dr. Khaled Omar Al Midfa reviewed Sharjah Media City’s strategy for the coming period, which includes four axes that are being worked on.

His Excellency Mohamed Hassan Khalaf reviewed a report on the Sharjah Broadcasting and Television Authority and its participation in various events, and a report on the direct line programme.

His Excellency Tariq Saeed Allay discussed the programs and plans of the Sharjah Government Media Office and the activities and initiatives of the office, including the Sharjah Forum for Contact Centers and the final preparations for the International Government Communication Forum.

The members of the Sharjah Media Council affirmed their keenness to implement the directives of His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, and to work with one hand to translate the intellectual and cultural message of the Emirate of Sharjah.
