Sultan Bin Ahmed Stresses Need To Develop Media Cadres

Within the work of the General Secretariat of the Sharjah Media Council, the members were briefed on the file of the establishment of the Sharjah Film and Content Committee, and the need to follow up work in this regard in accordance with the directives of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.

The committee will play an important part in preserving and developing the film industry and production in the Emirate, in addition to allowing talents and specialists to work, innovate, and produce, thus contributing to the development of the media work experience in the Emirate.

The meeting also followed up on the developments of the Sharjah Media Club project and the progress of work on it, in cooperation with the Sharjah Department of Public Works.

The Council listened to a number of reports from the various media agencies in the Emirate of Sharjah, their workflow, and the set of programs and events that have been completed during the past period, as well as current and future plans to activate more diverse initiatives and activities.

The meeting dealt with the developments of Sharjah Media City (Shams), its media projects, business progress statistics for the first half of this year, as well as Sharjah Broadcasting Authority’s projects, plans for new programs, and the most important events for the coming period.

The meeting also reviewed the details of preparations for organizing the International Government Communication Forum 2022, and the stages and developments of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau’s Sharjah Government Communication Award.
