The process for securing a Media Permit begins with the submission of an electronic application through the Sharjah Media Council official portal, where the applicant specifies the nature of their intended media activity as per the trade license issued from Sharjah. Once submitted, the application undergoes a comprehensive review by the licensing team to ensure the activity aligns with the UAE’s national media policies and Sharjah’s regulatory framework.
To facilitate a smooth application process, applicants must provide a set of essential legal and professional documents. This includes a valid copy of the applicant’s Passport and Emirates ID, along with high-resolution digital photographs for the permit record. For corporate entities, a valid Trade License and a commercial registry certificate issued from the Emirate of Sharjah are required.
